We're Hiring: Flight Simulator Instructor & Mechanic in Pasadena, CA

WeFly is growing. We're looking for two roles at our Pasadena, CA location — a Flight Simulator Instructor and a Simulator Mechanic. Both positions are part-time with flexible scheduling.

Flight Simulator Instructor

Pay: $20 – $30/hr  |  Type: Part-time  |  Location: Pasadena, CA 91103

You'll guide customers through realistic flight experiences on our Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320 simulators. No airline pilot certificate required — but you must know your way around a cockpit.

What we need

• 1+ year experience with MSFS, X-Plane 12, or Prepar3D (P3D)
• Ability to explain aviation concepts in a fun, simple way
• Strong communication skills and customer-first attitude
• Comfortable troubleshooting basic simulator issues
• Pilot license or CFI — a plus, not a requirement

Screening questions

1. Which sims do you fly? (MSFS / X-Plane / P3D) Which aircraft and how many hours?
2. What are your available days and hours?
3. How long is your commute to Pasadena?

Simulator Mechanic

Pay: $30 – $55/hr  |  Type: Part-time / Contract  |  Location: Pasadena, CA 91103

You'll maintain, repair, and calibrate our Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320 simulator hardware — electrical systems, mechanical components, and cockpit panels.

What we need

• Soldering skills — circuit boards, connectors, wiring
• Understanding of basic electronics: +5V, GND, polarity, PCB layout
• Comfortable with hand tools and power tools — assembly, disassembly, fasteners
• Diagnostics with calipers, multimeters, ohmmeters
• 3D printing knowledge — a plus
• Aviation or simulator experience — a plus

Screening questions

1. Can you solder? What type of work have you done?
2. Are you comfortable with basic electronics — voltage, ground, reading circuit boards?
3. Do you have experience assembling/disassembling mechanical equipment?
